Vanities

Hey, [ Started November 28th, 2025] I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving with loved ones. I know I was happy to spend quality time with family away from social media (this is the first year where I did not post the antics, but instead used my digital camera to capture memories) . During this month, I decided to read the book of Ecclesiastes that was recommended by my sister. I can say that as of November 28th, I'm halfway through the book and there's a lot of takeaways that I've taken in during my Bible Study. In the first six chapters, Solomon tells readers about what is considered vanity. I noticed that there was a trend among these chapters... and that is going after money and other worldly possessions. When I read through the first six chapters, my eyes were opened with what was vain.  I talked about this previously in a podcast episode that I used to consume a lot of items that was not connected with my spiritual walk. Since then, I've gotten rid of those items...

Fasting From Social Media

Hey,  I hope you all are having a great day today. I wanted to talk about a Bible Plan I completed through the Bible app. It's called Fasting from Social Media. I felt the urge to complete this plan as a way of continuing with my spiritual journey and where that stands regarding my social media accounts. As of November 28th, I no longer feel the urge to post on social media all the time. The only exceptions at this time are if I'm completing a product review and possibly some YouTube Shorts. I can say that taking a break from social media truly helps you to press more into real time and not focus on what's happening on our phone screens. If you would like a boost to truly fast from social...

100 Ways to Simplify Your Life

[Started December 4th, 2025] Hey, I hope you're having a great December. I know I've started the month by reading a new book by none other than Joyce Meyer. this book is similar to Getting Things Done by David Allen except in a faith- based manner. I remember reading this book as part of my senior seminar in college as part of a way to prepare for the world ahead of us. Almost a decade later, I've found a book that's a refresher to what I've learned in college and the spiritual journey that I'm in. I can say that this is a good read for ways to truly simplify your life and live the soft life you've wanted. Plus, there are Biblical scriptures for each concept- whether it be about budgeting your money or keeping yourself mentally stable. Make sure to get your copy here or loan your copy from the Libby app.
