Summer Songs: Mayor Boss Edition

Hey and Happy June,  I hope the start of the new month is going well for you. Summer is approaching and I have some upbeat Christian songs that you will love to jam to. I've been listening to Mayor Boss for quite some time... and I can say that I love his music! This gives similar vibes to the current R&B music except the lyrics are faith-based, below are a couple of my favorites that I feel you will enjoy :) :  Mayor Boss- Prosper Mayor Boss- My Redeemer Lives I hope you loved those two songs as I do. If you would like to hear more from this artist, check out his YouTube channel here :).

The Word is a Light to Our Feet

Hey, I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post I wanted to talk about Psalm 119. I read this chapter from the Bible not too long ago and I can say that I felt refreshed and am amazed with the takeaways. To sum it up, you want to keep studying the Word along with having the Word across your heart to remember during the great times and through the tough times as well. You also want to be bold in your faith and not be afraid to spread the gospel along with how great God is. This is my interpretation of Psalm 119; I highly suggest reading this chapter in the Bible for yourself. Below is a video of someone reading Psalm 119 in the King James Version.  On my way home as I meditated on Psalm 119, this song came on the satellite radio as a reminder that His Word is a lamp unto our feet. I suggest you listen to this song and the message that this song brings. As I was placing the videos on this blog post, I saw this song and thought to give it a listen. It truly puts me at a...

You are Made New

Hey, I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post, I wanted to remind you that once you turn your life over to Christ... this is when you are made new. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 the Bible states, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have passed away; behold, all things are become new." In other words, leave the old version of yourself behind and walk into the new version of yourself. Joyce Meyer mentioned that we should enjoy our spiritual walk with Christ. I suggest embracing the changes in your transformation phase as they come along. Below is a song by James Nelson featuring Madison Ryann Ward that lives rent free in my head embracing the new version of you. Hope you enjoy  and have a blessed day 😊.

Spiritual Warfare Songs

Hey,  I hope you're doing great today. In this blog post, I will be sharing with you a free spiritual warfare songs that will have you fighting the enemy to take you out of that dark place. In this first song by Eniola Abioye, this declares that we will follow Jesus wherever He goes and to get ourselves ready by lacing up our boots and putting on our backpack to ride :).  In the second song by Mosaic MSC, this song declares with with Jesus' Name that darkness must flee and that darkness trembles hearing His Name alone. This was one of the songs that have been playing in my head rent free and I will you will enjoy. I included the version that has the lyrics so you could sing along :).   In this third song by Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, this talks about taking back what the enemy stole and declaring that God has authority over your life. Listen to this powerful song here to drive out the enemy.  This final track is by none other than 2819 Church. They just released this new s...

Become a Disciple Today

Hey,  I hope you're having a great start to your day. In this video, I felt this was touching to the Holy Spirit and I feel the need to share this with you. If you would like to grow closer to God; take up your cross and follow Christ... then this is the video for you.  Now is the time to truly turn to Him and have it be authentic and not because the other person is doing it. This is a disclaimer that following Christ is not a trend and should not be a trend. If you're following Christ for the wrong reasons, stop and think of your actions before you go any further. If you truly would like to connect with God, watch this video and have the Holy Spirit truly move you to change. Have an amazing day :).

Loving People Who Are Hard to Love: Book Review

[Started April 18, 2026] Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. I can say that I am feeling refreshed on this Saturday- from rest and connecting with Him. I wanted to share with you on the book that I am currently reading by none other than Joyce Meyer herself. When I saw this book at my local Ollie's, my intent was to read this book to discover ways in which I can love those who are hard to love. Based on this first week of me reading this book, I have captured many insights that I feel we all should know:  When we show love to that person, God is there. Joyce brings up an example of a Russian man in the early 1900s that lost his wife and child. He started to lose his faith until a friend mentioned to him that he still needed to connect with God. This man began to read the Bible again and began to serve others around his neighborhood. I won't tell too much as you would have to read the book for yourself :).  We can love someone and not like everything they d...

A Clean Heart and Psalm 51

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this video, I will be sharing with you a couple of songs that talk about cleaning our hearts and making them anew again. This first song is by Fred Hammond where he asks God to give him a clean heart. I truly love this song and I feel you will too.  This next song is sung by William MacDowell where he tells God that he wants more of Him and that his heart yearns for the Lord. This next song is a tear-jerker; I suggest getting tissues as this might resonate wit you.  In Psalm 51:10 from the Bible it states, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Ask God to cleanse your heart from the past hurt that you've been through. There's another bonus scripture I thought of that comes from Ezekiel 36:26 that says, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." S...

Be Still by Cece Winans

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post, I will sharing with you a song by none other than Cece Winans on being still and having God intervene in your life and move the pieces :). Below is the video, please enjoy.  In Psalm 46:10 from the Bible, it states "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted into the earth." We, as God's children, need to be still for God is the true ruler of the Heavens and the earth and will have all things work out for our good. I will also share with you the lyric version below as well. Have a great day :).

Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this video I watched as part of my morning devotion, this talks about comparison and how we should not compare our lives to others as He ordained our lives the way it should. Below is the video that was a reminder on comparison, enjoy :).  I will admit that this was a heavy battle for myself for several years until I was saved a couple of years ago. As of recently, this has been a struggle and I needed this reminder to stop me in my tracks from going into my old ways and old thoughts. Everyone's journey is different... and those who we compare ourselves to have their struggles behind the scenes. Be thankful for what you have and enjoy it. Do you have an issue with comparing yourself to others? Feel free to leave your response in the comments below :).  [Updated June 19, 2026] I was listening to this video devotion yesterday morning to get my day started before by errand run. I had another reminder not to compare myself to o...

Sweeter and Psalm 34:8

Hey,  I hope you're having a great start into the new week. In this blog post, I will be sharing with you a song that's been playing in my head on repeat. It is by John Mark Pantana; I love this song and I feel you will love this upbeat, ready-for-summer song too. Here's to this song, enjoy :).  This song has me thinking about the verse in Psalm 34:8 that says, "O taste and see that the Lord id good; Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him." It's such a sweet, lovely feeling to know that the Lord is good and that you can trust Him all the days of your life. I also have another song here by John Mark Pantana that's also living rent free in my head that I feel you will enjoy. Have a blessed week everyone :).  P.S. 2819 Church in the Past Couple of Weeks

Hey,  I hope your week was well. I've been wanting to share theses sermons with you.. and then life got ahold of me. Here are two video sermons from 2819 Church preached by none other than Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell. Enjoy :).  If you don't want to watch the full sermon, feel free to check out 2819 Church on YouTube :).

Watch Your Words

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post I will be sharing with you two videos that I have watched recently about watching the words you speak over your own life and the life of others. We all have an issue with this (so do I about my own life) and I felt this was necessary to share to help someone out there.  This first video is by none other than Grace Oasis on watching your words and what you speak over your life. This next video is from Daily Jesus Prayers addressing the same concept except in a different manner. This video addresses ways in which you can speak positivity over your life.  In Proverbs 18:21, it says "death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." If you speak (and think) positive, then positivity shall prosper into your life alongside you being fruitful. If you speak (and think) negative, then it will be difficult to prosper in this life. Think of it like this: what comes around...

Have God Lead You to Your Destiny

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post, I'm going to share this video with you. I'm not sure who needs this in this season of their life; I feel we all need a reminder (and it's a nudge for myself too from God) that we need to let go of what we have planned for ourselves and have God lead us to what He called us to do. Watch this video for motivation. Enjoy :).

Build My Life; The Meaning Behind the Song, and Luke 6

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. I was going through a battle spiritually and this was one song that came to mind. That same night, I decided to play this on YouTube and I sang this as part of my worship. Here is the song with the lyrics so you could see and hear the lyrics for yourself :) :  There was another video below where Pat Barrett explains the meaning behind his song.  The Bible chapter being referenced here is Luke 6:46-49 when Jesus speaks on the parable (which begins in Luke 6:39) on 1. not being hypocritical and 2. being fruitful by what God has instilled in you. In Luke 6:46-49, we have built a firm foundation with God once we build our lives surrounding Him. I highly suggest reading Luke 6 for yourself as this gives a bright insight on shaping your life and connects to this beautiful song. Enjoy :).

A Chapter for Those Who Serve

Hey, I hope you're having a great day. In this blog post, I will be talking about  a chapter in the Bible. In Titus 3, this chapter talks about what it takes to be a teacher. I found this fitting as I am a teacher myself and it is Teacher Appreciation Week. This segment of the Bible tells us to do the following:  Be ready to do good work to those whom you serve (Titus 3:1); Speak no evil of anyone (Titus 3:2); Be gentle and kind to everyone you meet (Titus 3:2); Give others a chance as we were once like those described in Titus 3:3 before our walk with Christ; Ignore foolishness. No need to prove yourself to everyone or respond to every question that comes up (Titus 3:9); Do not be prideful in your works (Titus 3:9); and Teach people using the correct resource/ information (Titus 3:10). This goes beyond teaching; this goes to those who are mentors alongside working in the church and serving the community. This is very important; we are on our walk with Christ and want people t...
