Be Still

[Started January 17th, 2026] Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. I wanted to share with you a video that I listened to a while back as I was getting ready for work. It's about being still and having God do His work while you are in your Waiting Season. Below is the video that I feel you should check out. Hope you enjoy :).  A Bible verse that connects with this is Psalm 46:6 where it states, "Be still, and know that I am God." We need to be still and trust the process as God works out all things for our good. It could be very difficult to be patient, but being patient is one of the Fruits of the Spirit that will get us to where God wants us to be in  life. I have learned the hard way in the past that being impatient leads to bad choices and not-needed consequences. Take this as a sign today to be still and trust that God will work out all things for your good :).

Worship Songs: Jonathan Ogden Edition

Hey,  This is my very first blog post on the music that I've been listening to ever since I've delved into my transformation. Honestly, this part of my life changing was not difficult to give up...as secular music has not been the same. I wanted to share with you a Christian artist that I've been listening to on repeat each day. Below is one of his songs that I started listening to. This was when I discovered Jonathan Ogden. Hope you enjoy :).  Because I love this song, I decided to start listening to his radio on Pandora. You can listen to it for yourself here . These songs I do not have to skip; it sets me in the right headspace with me connecting to God. Let me know what songs from Jonathan Ogden you like to listen to.

What Fasting Has Taught Me

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. This blog post goes into my fasting and what I've learned while fasting. If you're interested on how I did it, then keep reading.  Before this blog post, I've fasted before church and would break my fast after a certain time. This would take place once a week. There was one time for the 2025 New Years challenge, my church and I would fast for a few days. This year, there was a consecration and the fasting was to take place for a week. I'm used to fasting food alongside my phone away from content and away from social media. Here are some insights I learned during this fasting season: 1. You're focused more on God than your surroundings. When I was fasting, I listened to my daily sermons and focused on the key idea of the day during my fasting time. During fasting, I meditated on the Word and kept my focus specifically on God and not anything else of this world. I'm not saying that I don't do this on a regular ...

Slow Mornings are The Best Mornings

Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. I wanted to write this blog post to emphasize the importance of slowing down. Recently, I've noticed that my body has been feeling weary and tired. It has gotten to the point where it has affected my work ethic and energy. Here are some takeaways/ strategies that I remember: 1. Get needed rest. I would rush to get up first thing in the morning to edit content and complete tasks that are on my to-do list. Now, I sleep in until my body tells me to wake up. I no longer rush to edit content or even complete tasks that are on my to-do list. 2. No need to rush.  I remember I would rush in the morning to get to work early enough. Yes, wake up and get ready on time for work... you still want to take your time and not rush. It will help you to keep your mind at peace and keep you sane. I like to tell myself that I am on God's timing and not on the timing of man. This keeps my focus on God guiding me through the morning and getting me to ...

Wealth and Popularity versus Honor and Character (Proverbs 22 Bible Study)

[Written December 1st, 2025] Hey, I hope you all are doing well. I was inspired to write this post when I was in the midst of my Bible Study on November 29th. In my New Beginnings book, it was titled "You Are Watched Continually" where it compares wealth and popularity versus honor and character.  In today's society, everyone thinks about being wealthy and being recognized by everyone. We all want to seek validation based on our work ethic and our possessions. We all want to engage in the hustle culture to "get in our bag" and climb to the top of the ladder regarding our status quo. This is only temporary. There is no character development when all that is on your mind is about your plans, your dreams, and your desires before you pass on... and everyone can see that.  What we should focus on is our character. Your character is what matters when you pass on and what people focus on these days. Now is the time to focus on what you want people to know you for based...

Decisions Driven by Self...and How God Gets Us Through Them (Jonah Bible Study)

[Started December 14th, 2025] Hey,  I hope you're having a great day today. In this blog post I wanted to talk about how we tend to run away from what God wants us to do and how He gets us back on track where we need to. My inspiration behind this blog post comes from the book of Jonah.  In Jonah I, God tells Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the people on what is to take place if they do not repent. Instead of Jonah going to Nineveh, he decides he wants to go to Tarshish instead; he feared what would take place if he were to go to Nineveh. We all have been in this position before where we are moved by God to go in one direction, but instead (because of fear of the outcome) we choose to ignore Him and go in the next direction we feel fits best (and comfortable) for our lives.  In Jonah 2, it takes us on the voyage when Jonah was heading Tarshish and then the ship tips over, causing Jonah to get swallowed up by the whale and ended up in the whale's stomach for three days. Du...

Enjoying Life

Hey, I hope you are having a great day today. As I'm writing this blog post,  I'm relaxing in my couch at home enjoying the snow day that my work has granted everyone due to the weather.  I wanted to talk to you about enjoying life and the reason behind why we should enjoy life.  Recently I read the book of Ecclesiastes and part of the book (Ecclesiastes 11:7-10) tells us to enjoy life. Before my transformation, I would have my mind clouded on all the things of the world- from wanting to get a promotion to the amount of workload that I had to deal with in the midst of all the things of the world. Now that I've made changes to my life, I started to enjoy life more than ever before.  The first step I had to work out was my job path. I'm in a different space where the workload is not heavy and I have enough time to balance home life and work life. I used to neglect my time away from my family. Now I enjoy time with my family... and they are fun people to be around. The ...

Creating Content with a Purpose

Hey,  Here's to another week...another blog post. As you can tell by this title, this is another quote that I thought of as I was completing a campaign for Influenster on TikTok. I thought of this quote to say that I want to create content that is purposeful and will be useful for everyone. Before my transformation in August 2024, I would post makeup tutorials and hauls (along with vlogs) to catch the attention of social media and validation. Nowadays, I create content for product testing and for this podcast series. I want to create content that everyone finds useful. I want to create content that shows my transformation. The old me has left with pleasing the world... the new me is welcoming God by my side and what He would like for me to do with my life (1 Corinthians 5:17). If you feel the urge to share the Word and not sure how to start, have this be your cue that you can do it- whether that be through a blog or a podcast. If you would like to spread the Word on other soc...

Different Space...Different Page

Hey,  I hope you all are having a great start to the new year. I wanted to share this quote with you that I came up with while I was creating The Flourishing Soft Life Woman Podcast. This quote symbolizes the changes that are being made in my life...and changes that are made in your life as well. When we are in a different space, the old version of ourselves has to pass away to welcome in the new version of ourselves (1 Corinthians 5:17). This includes our old habits, our old thoughts...we may even eliminate some people out of our lives that no longer serve us. This transitions us into a different page. Picture this: You are on a clean page in your notebook where you get to start fresh without the mess of notes or scribbles that are left on the margins of the page. You get to create something different on this page and make it something unique...something that screams YOU and not what society is telling you to be. I have had to do that this year. Last week, I have had to tell...

Hunger for God... Not the World

[Started December 31st, 2025] Hey, Happy 2026 everyone! It's that time of year when we set goals on what we would like our new year to look like and try our best to go through the goals we have set for ourselves. In this blog post, I will talk about losing the whole world and gaining a connection with God. In Micah 7,  the chapter is split between what happens when you gain the whole world and what happens afterwards.  In the first half of Micah 7, the chapter talks about our hunger to be satisfied. Some of us feel we need to be satisfied through a relationship or the worldly possessions we have... we are still starving for that satisfaction to keep us whole in this world. I've seen this be repeated multiple times in the Bible where we tend to gain the whole world and lose God in the midst of it all. I must admit that this was me before I began my transformation. I was hungry for something... but I was not sure what it was. I would try to satisfy my hunger through relationship...
