Hey,
I hope you're having a great day today. I wanted to write this blog post to emphasize the importance of slowing down. Recently, I've noticed that my body has been feeling weary and tired. It has gotten to the point where it has affected my work ethic and energy. Here are some takeaways/ strategies that I remember:
1. Get needed rest. I would rush to get up first thing in the morning to edit content and complete tasks that are on my to-do list. Now, I sleep in until my body tells me to wake up. I no longer rush to edit content or even complete tasks that are on my to-do list.
2. No need to rush. I remember I would rush in the morning to get to work early enough. Yes, wake up and get ready on time for work... you still want to take your time and not rush. It will help you to keep your mind at peace and keep you sane. I like to tell myself that I am on God's timing and not on the timing of man. This keeps my focus on God guiding me through the morning and getting me to my destination safe.
3. Go to bed early. This is something my mom has suggested this new year that I turn in early to get ready for bed. During this time, I take out my outfit while doing my nightly skincare routine and reading a book before bed. I can tell you that reading a book is much better before going to bed than going on your phone.
With these three takeaways, I can see the difference with my body and work ethic. I'm currently working on my new schedule with regards to work, but I'm getting the hang of having slow mornings and being on God's timing. What do you do to have slow mornings?
