Hey,
I hope you're having a great day. In this blog post, I will be talking about a chapter in the Bible. In Titus 3, this chapter talks about what it takes to be a teacher. I found this fitting as I am a teacher myself and it is Teacher Appreciation Week. This segment of the Bible tells us to do the following:
- Be ready to do good work to those whom you serve (Titus 3:1);
- Speak no evil of anyone (Titus 3:2);
- Be gentle and kind to everyone you meet (Titus 3:2);
- Give others a chance as we were once like those described in Titus 3:3 before our walk with Christ;
- Ignore foolishness. No need to prove yourself to everyone or respond to every question that comes up (Titus 3:9);
- Do not be prideful in your works (Titus 3:9); and
- Teach people using the correct resource/ information (Titus 3:10).
This goes beyond teaching; this goes to those who are mentors alongside working in the church and serving the community. This is very important; we are on our walk with Christ and want people to see the light in us and never darkness. This is my interpretation of Titus 3, I suggest you read the chapter for yourself. Have a great week :).
