Good morning,
I hope your day is going great today. In this blog post I'm going to share with you a topic that a loved one and I discussed recently. I will not go in-depth as this is a conversation that is personal. I will share with you that we all need to have compassion towards one another. There maybe times when we cannot stand that person's actions; their lifestyle, and their interaction towards those who are helping them. However, we need to give them some grace and empathy during their tough seasons. Below are a few scriptures that focuses on compassion:
- Psalm 51:1- Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
- Isaiah 30:18- And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
- Isaiah 49:13- Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
- Mark 6:34- And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
These scriptures stated above talks about God having mercy on those who face transgressions and are being led by the world and not the Word. Have this be a reminder to forgive and keep encouraging that person(s) to change and turn to God. If God had compassion and forgave us for our sins, then we can do the same for those who are not on their walk with Christ. I'm not saying to accept sin; I'm saying to give that person time to change. Believe that change will come. Believe that your prayers will be answered. For a deep dive on your own, I also suggest that you read Romans 12. Have a great day and enjoy :).
